Today, money, work, & CD burner questions

Nothing much is going on with me today. Al's gone for the weekend, and I stayed home and chilled for most of today. That's as boring as I can get with anything.

I'm cash-broke. Got paid yesertday, but since I don't have a bank account and prefer not to have one at the moment, I gotta figure out how I'm gonna get back-up cash again until my dad can pay me back. I know this sounds confusing. Normally, I give my dad the checks so he can go cash them. Then he pays me back. But he's low too and can't pay me back until he can get work going again.

I think I'll be able to stay at doing office work at my current job until I'm sick of it, or until it's really unnecessary for me to come in and try to do anything, if I have nothing going on for that day, which could wind down to me getting laid off. But that's probably not gonna happen, since the busy time of season is here and everything is busy at work. So that means more work for me and longer time for me to stay and help out in the office, which is great! For now I'm not worried about being jobless because of the stuff I just mentioned. So things are cool at this point.

I guess I could do hw, but I'm not in the mood. I'll start on some of it tonight, I suppose and get ahead start on some things that are due down the road. We'll see how it goes.

My CD burner still doesn't work. Here's a question for pro-peeps and others out there: I've been getting the same error when burning a CD of any type. The main error it comes up with is that the power calibration area is somehow screwed up. So my question is, is there any way of fixing it, and if so, how can I do it without messing other stuff up in the burner. I don't want to go out my way yet to buy a new burner if there's a way to get the calibration fixed, which I don't understand anything about. So if there's any experts out there that knows what to do, let me know asap. I'd appreciate anything at this point.

One more thing: I haven't been able to get into AIM since yesterday morning. So what's up with that?? Is anyone getting the same problem with their AIMs as well? Let me know of that too. Thanks...

Anyways, I'm out for now. Will return laterz...
